‘Music is about SHARING something not PROVING something’ Yo-yo Ma.
What are music clinics? These ‘clinics’ are actually normal rehearsals with a big name conductor, director or ‘clinician’; in this case our NOW President Dr Timothy Reynish.
NOW would like to have these special rehearsals at least once a term and they are open to musicians outside NOW too.
At NOW we play lots of new music, at the cutting edge, particularly in our Premiere Wind Orchestra, with many works actually commissioned by Tim Reynish.
You can either join us on a regularly basis or for our Summer Courses and Workshops with Dr Tim Reynish.
Our first workshop will be held on 31st March 2012.
Course venue: Malcolm Arnold Academy, Trinity Avenue, Northampton. NN2 6JW.
Course subscriptions: £10 for NOW and BASBWE members or £15 for non-members.
Course times:
Grade 2 to Grade 4 players- 2pm (warm-up 1.45pm).
Grade 4 to Grade 7 players - 2.50pm (warm-up 2.40pm).
Grade 8 players and above - 3.55pm to 5.20pm (rehearsal 12pm - 1.30pm).
PLEASE BRING A MUSIC STAND.
Refreshments provided: tea, coffee, squash and biscuits, 50p.
