Improvers.
The IMPROVERS is the next stage of NOW’s fast track learning system. Getting you from about grade 2 and reaching about grade 4 standard in less than 12 months. The route into the IMPROVERS is directly from the BEGINNER group (if you are a high flyer) or from Community Wind Orchestra B.
NOW IMPROVERS will build on the foundation of the BEGINNERS and the Community Wind Orchestra, developing greater control, sound quality and articulation, technical command, rhythm, reading and sight reading skills, balance, intonation, solo and ensemble skills. You will also develop your theoretical knowledge helping you to understand music to a higher level.
From the IMPROVERS players can move on to the Community Wind Orchestra A or to the INTERMEDIATE group also part of the fast-track 12 month learning system.
IMPROVERS groups should start every 12 months in September and require at least 25 players for viability. The current group is closed to be included in the next IMPROVERS in September 2010 you will need to apply to be put on the waiting list. Click here to download the Improvers' application form.
